Harvest Kitchen, St. Luke's Brockport

St. Luke's in Brockport offers up many missions that support the community.  The congregation accommodates a Food Shelf and also the Brockport Clothing Center.  Every 2nd Sunday of the month, you can also join St. Luke's for a meal at their Harvest Kitchen.

What a Celebration!!!

St. Luke’s and St. Simon Cyrene was full in the celebration of the Blessed Absalom Jones.

Blessed Absalom Jones was the first African American priest in the Episcopal Church (Ordained in 1804).  Our Diocese gathered this past Saturday to celebrate with a liturgy and eucharist and much singing!

Some brought a dish from thier cultural roots for the fellowship gathering that followed.


A presentation of “Bringing Harriet Tubman to life” by Maggie Moore-Holley, who did a wonderful job channeling Harriet Tubman!

Peter's Place

St. Peter's, Bloomfield offers a weekly tutoring program for kids of all ages called Peter's Place.  Founded by Linda Morotini, kids of all learning levels get help from volunteer certified teachers, special educators and community volunteers.  On tap is homework assistance, playing educational games and even reading to a service dog, through Therapy Dogs International's Tail Waggin' Tutors program.  Watch this video to see what it's all about!

Storm Inspires Social Media Sunday!

Just over a week ago, we saw the largest snow storm to date for this winter season.  Unfortunately, it came on the weekend, and a number of our parishes had to cancel services and gatherings.  In this age of technology, clergy and leadership utilized their websites, texts, social media and email to alert parishioners of cancellations and postponements.  A few more utilized social media to offer rescourses and even live services to keep folks safe at home and out of the storm.  Here are just a few of the ways we were still able to share our faith in action on a stormy weekend!
