Diocesan Creation Care Event

 

 Saturday, May 10, 2025

Please join us for our first Diocesan Creation Care Event. Come reflect on how to implement practices that help us honor and enjoy God's creation, reduce our carbon footprint, and limit our waste and destruction of our earth. 
 

Bishop Kara requests that every parish send
at least two people
 from each parish, clergy or lay.

9:30 am - Doors Open & Coffee

  •  Please bring your own mug to use for the day! 
10 am - Opening Prayer (Bishop Kara to lead), Music, and Reflection
11-11:50 am - Workshop Session I
  • Planting Seeds of Hope: Community Gardens as Evangelism 
  • Rethinking Coffee Hour 
  • Creation, Spirituality, and Nature 

12 pm - Lunch 

1-1:50 pm - Workshop Session II

  • Food Scarcity & Food Justice
  • Repair Cafe & Sew Green

2 pm - Closing Prayer and Commitment
