Pancake Races! VIDEO | Episcopal Diocese of Rochester

This past Sunday St. Paul's Rochester hosted the running of the clerics! This is an annual pancake race in our diocese in preparation for shrove Tuesday and a Holy Lent. Competitors raced around a gym while flipping a pancake in their frying pan. Rev. Padraic Collins-Bohrer served as referee, and Rev. Catherine Tatem served some delicious gumbo after the races. Donations from each competitor were awarded to the charity of the winning priest.

Here's how the awards ended up:

Where Do I Go award went to Rev. Laurence Wainwright-Maks, Missioner to The Deaf and Chaplain: RIT/NTID
Sweetest Skillet Skillz award went to Rev. Rob Picken, St. Paul's Rochester
Most (Holy) Spirit was awarded to Rev. Catherine Tatem, St. Peter's Henrietta
Slowest Time award went to Rev. Virginia Tyler Smith, St. John's Honeoye Falls
Best Dressed went to Rev. Singh
Golden Holy Flip award went to the winner, The Very Rev. Andrew VanBuren, St. John's Clifton Springs
