150th Anniversary Celebration!

It was a classic summerlike day at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo, NY as they celebrated 150 years in their current building.  Father Billy Daniel led a congressional procession down Main Street in Geneseo to the Holy Eucharist Service.  A pot luck picnic followed on the church lawn that included entertainment and fellowship.

It was a beautiful day on Saturday September 9th for the Celebration of New Ministry - the official liturgy where Bishop Singh installed Amma Leslie Burkardt as the 11th Rector of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Rochester, NY!

Participants in the service included The Rt. Rev. Dr. Prince G. Singh, The Rev. Canon Michael Buerkel Hunn, The Rev. Canon Johnnie Ross, many other clergy.

Dear saints,
We have been bombarded by at least two kinds of storms in the recent past. The first kind is
the calamitous storms of nature, Harvey, and now Irma, the most powerful Atlantic storm on
record. These compounded by the impact of the deluge in the sub-continent have left millions
vulnerable in so many ways. The second is of the “man-made” storm category and involves the
threat of nuclear war and the most recent threat of deportation of thousands of young people
who say, “this land is my land,” since this is the only land they know.

Quilt Show and Bake Sale

Do you like quilts?  If so, you're in for a treat if you attend the quilt show, quilt raffle and bake sale at St. James' Episcopal Church in Hammondsport, NY.

Enjoy a day in this beautiful town located at the southern tip of Keuka Lake, and take in the beautiful and elaborate quilts in display in the Church.  The quilts are handmade and hand-stiched with some of them dating back to the 1800's!
