Back To Church Sunday at Two Saints / photosThursday, September 27, 2018The Rev. Keith Patterson and St. Luke & St. Simon Cyrene's offered a unique "Back to Church Sunday" for parishioners and visitors on September 23rd. Friends enjoyed the accompaniment of a jazz trio during the 10 am service. Following service, many enjoyed a picnic in the parking lot that included a bouncy castle, which brought fun and enjoyment to kids of all ages. Read more » |

Convention 87Tuesday, September 25, 2018Convention 87 The theme of the 87th Diocesan Convention of Rochester is becoming “Beloved Community.” The Most Rev. Michael Curry said: “We who follow Jesus have made a choice to walk a different way: the way of disciplined, intentional, passionate, compassionate, mobilized, organized love intent on creating God’s Beloved Community on earth.” Priest and Author Henri Nouwen said: “Community grows from the spiritual knowledge that we are alive not for ourselves but for one another. Jazz Vespers at Two Saints / videoMonday, September 24, 2018St. Luke's and St. Simon's, also known as "Two Saints" in Rochester has been offering a unique non-denominational service called Jazz Vespers. Each Jazz Vespers service lasts approximately 45 minutes and includes prayer, a contemporary reflection on the theme, and jazz, with light refreshments. These services are free and open to the public. All are welcome. |
