St. John’s in Clifton Springs is very active with outreach programs, including their Second Seasons consignment Boutique, food cupboards, and the Community Coat Drive. The highlight of December is their annual salt potato fundraiser at the Village Festival of Lights, where they provide free salt potatoes and accept a free-will offering. They cook 100 pounds of potatoes and usually collect around $300.00. The vestry designates this year’s offering to the Caring Hearts Food Pantry in Clifton Springs, and to Twin Cities Food Cupboard in Manchester.
