Thirty-five clergy of the diocese gathered at Notre Dame Retreat Center, Canandiagua, on September 11th and 12th for the first overnight Clergy Conference/Retreat in several years. We enjoyed the lovely setting and fine weather as well as the opportunity for prayer and worship, fellowship, and learning. The Rev. Dr. Lisa Cressman, author and founder of Backstory Preaching, was our featured speaker. She led three sessions on “Preaching in Challenging Times” which provided new insights and stimulated discussion and reflection. Plans are already underway for next year’s Clergy Conference. Photos
