Bishop Kara reflects on House of Bishops Meeting

I was so grateful for the spiritual renewal of eight days with the House of Bishops. What a privilege it was to spend time worshipping (singing knits us together and feeds my soul), learning together (days long discussions of the discernment and formation of good lay leaders, priests and deacons to equip our church for faithful, relevant Christian lives), and discussing the issues of our church with incredibly wise and faithful bishops (Communion, serving small and remote churches, strengthening the Anglican Communion, church redevelopment and planting, the state of the world). The spiritual renewal came from the well-planned rhythm of worship, work, rest and play with time for nature walks, horseback riding, canoeing, meals, and dancing!
