Join us for a Prayer Vigil for Immigrants

April 3, 2026

U.S. Customs and Border Protection
171 Pattonwood Dr.
Rochester

Please join Rural & Migrant Ministry and the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester on Good Friday, April 3, at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Irondequoit Border Patrol Station, as we gather to pray for ourselves, our government officials, and those who work for Homeland Security. Our prayer is that we will find the empathy, mercy, and courage to recognize and affirm the humanity of all immigrants and their families. Read more.

**Please note that we may have to relocate to the nearby Federal Building, pending the status of the Border Patrol Station.**

What to bring:
• Signs that affirm humanity (we will also have signs available)
• Candles
• Clergy: Clericals and stoles

There is a fear that our political system is forcing those who work for the government to deny their own humanity as they seek to carry out their jobs of protecting and serving. We gather to reclaim and reconnect the humanity and empathy of
all people.

While there are many important protests taking place around our region, this is a gathering with a different approach, one rooted in love and seeking another pathway through stories of humanity, the power of prayer, and silence.

Rural & Migrant Ministry and the Episcopal Diocese of Rochester sponsor this gathering. Other sponsors are welcome to promote and join in. All faith backgrounds are welcome to join and bear witness.
