"Easter is a clear demonstration of a mutuality in God’s agency shown in raising Jesus up, and human agency in the remarkable courage and faith of women and men who were otherwise timid and cowardly. The disciples of Jesus stood up to powers in Jerusalem, in Rome and other parts of the world with deep resilience to serve those in need, and restore health and balance to the dignity of all human beings."
