Dear Friends of Grace! Grace! is in a precarious but determined position, and we need your support. As you know we gather every month to celebrate the diversity of our communities, and to honor the commitment to justice that many have made. In ordinary times, the commitment to justice requires a great deal of support and community, as the quest for justice cannot be carried out alone. Which is why we gather and celebrate our efforts and one another. Alas, these are not ordinary times, and our communities are under fire and the quest to honor the humanity of brothers and sisters is being challenged by the incoming Administration. It has become all the more important to bear witness to a just world and to support those who seek to create a just world. Grace! is determined to continue our efforts to gather together and celebrate one another. We are determined to stand with immigrant brothers and sisters in the midst of a vulnerable rural environment. And, we will do so in song, prayer, and voice as we both lament and celebrate. We need your presence and we need your financial support. Join us on the third Sunday of every month for the Justice Celebration and the shared meal. Now more than ever your presence is needed. We must stand together for justice, and we must stand for those families who now find themselves in a vulnerable position. We also need your financial support as we work to ensure that the campus of Grace! (which we share with Rural & Migrant Ministry) is solid and secure – so that we can continue to be a sanctuary for all to gather and for the voices of those who so often are silenced can be heard. In peace Juana, Antonio, Ana, Wilmer, Lulia, Rodney, Cendy, Beth and Richard Leaders of Grace! Please join us January 19th at 6pm – the Day before the Inauguration and Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend – as we need to have as many as possible bearing witness to a world of peace and justice |
